What are the directions for use?

Heat on a turntable in the microwave for 15-30 seconds for small packs or 45-60 seconds for larger packs.  Check temperature and shake.  Repeat this process as needed until desired warmth is achieved (warm but not too hot).  These steps help avoid scorching the pack or having hot spots while warming.  For cool therapy, place in the freezer for several hours before use.

What do I do if my pack stops producing moist heat?

With repeated use, the moist heat from the heating pad will lessen.  To achieve moist heat again, mist hot packs with water or a Ferapeutic Aromatherapy Spritzer, or place 1/4 cup water in the microwave while warming the pack.  Do not soak the pack.

Can you include a gift note?

Yes, we can! During checkout, simply enter your desired message and we’ll include a personalized gift note with your order.  If giving A Warm Hug® , we will place your message inside the card.

What are your packs filled with?

Our packs contain a blend of flax seed and rice, which we have found to be the ideal combination for retaining heat and providing soothing, moist heat.

Do you use synthetic scents?

No, we do not. We only use natural flower buds and essential oils for scents like lavender and chamomile, ensuring no synthetic fragrances are used.

If I want unscented, does it truly have no scent?

When you select unscented, no additional fragrances are added. However, you might detect a mild scent of cooked rice when heating your pack, which is often likened to the smell of baked bread.

How long does it take to heat the pack?

Heating times depend on your microwave’s wattage. Please refer to the detailed heating instructions provided on the product packaging for best results.

How cold do they get when used as cold packs?

Our packs provide a refreshing coolness but will not become as cold as gel packs. For the best experience, use the fleece side for heat and the cotton side for cool.

How do I care for my heat pack?

To clean, spot clean the exterior with a very damp cloth, and you can use a fabric spray cleaner if needed. Avoid submerging the pack in water. The pack is sanitized each time it is microwaved.

How long will my heating pad last?

With proper care, our hot and cold packs are designed to last for several years or more.
