On our peaceful patch of farmland in rural North Carolina, Chet started planting wildflowers—and what a difference it makes! Beyond the obvious beauty of blooms swaying in the breeze, wildflowers bring life, balance, and purpose to the land.
Wildflowers support pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, which are vital to a healthy ecosystem—and to our lavender crop! Their deep roots help prevent erosion, enrich the soil, and create natural habitats for beneficial insects and birds.
We chose native North Carolina varieties to ensure they thrive without harsh chemicals or excessive watering. Once established, they return year after year, a natural gift that keeps giving.
By planting wildflowers, we’re not just adding color—we’re creating a more sustainable, self-supporting farm. It's one small way we show love to the land that gives us so much.
Stay tuned as we share updates from the field—and maybe even a few more photos of our buzzing, blooming meadows!
